LinkedIn is not just an HR tool ( Social networks are not just for finding a job ). LinkedIn is also for communicating, selling, marketing. To market on LinkedIn, you can use paid solutions. The link to access these services is at the bottom of all pages. You can also access it by clicking on the drop-down menu link by clicking in its photo at the top of the screen on the right. One can also do marketing in LinkedIn without a paid subscription. Either by sharing news, publishing an article or contributing to a group. By sharing a piece of news or publishing an article, we can allow ourselves a small dose of self-promotion. Sparingly and wisely, however, to avoid giving the impression of being a spammer (or a sprinkler since we should no longer say spam but sprinkler ).
We can also do marketing, outside of LinkedIn but with elements of LinkedIn. In addition to Email Data the paid retargeting solutions offered by LinkedIn, you can retrieve and extract the email addresses of your contacts from LinkedIn (level 1 only). To do this, you must go to the Network / Contacts menu, in the menu bar at the top of the page. Once on this page, you have to go to the “settings”. Linkedin contacts settings Then, in the “Advanced Settings”, you must click on “Export LinkedIn Connections”. It is also on this page that you can find out how many level 1 contacts you actually have. Export LinkedIn Connections We then download a .csv file that can be opened directly or from Excel.
The procedure is described below: Export your relationships Export to: Microsoft Outlook (csv file) Open downloaded file Select column A “Data” in the top menu then “convert”. "Delimited" / "comma" / next / end CAUTION 1: You retrieve the emails of your contacts. That is to say personal and professional addresses. So be careful how you use it, you risk coming across as a spammer. CAUTION 2: The procedure above is valid for those who have the new "contacts" interface. Not that new since it is 2 years old, but some are still using the old interface. Paid account or not, no link. You can also retrieve your contacts' emails from the old interface, via the same menus, but the screens will be different from those presented here. Need LinkedIn advice, strategy or training?
